Student Loans

STUDENT LOAN ELIGIBILITY

You must be a regular student enrolled in an approved program at least half time to receive a Direct or FFEL Stafford loan. Other eligibility requirements apply such as:

Demonstrate financial need with some loan programs excepted

Have a high school diploma or GED certificate and pass a test approved by the US Department of Education

Enrolling in correspondence or telecommunication courses does not qualify for Stafford loans unless the courses are part of an associates, bachelors or master degree program

Be a US citizen or eligible non citizen.

Have a valid Social Security number (unless you are from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated Sates of Micronesia or the Republic of Palau)

Maintain satisfactory progress standards set by the school you are or will be attending.. Certify you use federal student aid only for educational reasons. Certify you are not in default on a federal student loan and that you do not owe money on a federal student grant. Comply with the requirements of the Selective Service.
